Harlen Cliff McReynolds, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and neighbor, of Navarre, Florida, passed away surrounded by family and friends on November 10, 2017.
He was born in Johnston City, Illinois on November 16, 1935. Although, he often said that he was actually born in Vicenza, Italy when he met the love of his life, Carola Pesce, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage. Cliff was a decorated U.S. Army veteran, retiring after 26 years of service. He and Carola lived for many years in Italy before deciding to split their residency between their beloved Italy and Florida, where they would be closer to family. He loved Mossano, Italy, and considered it his home. He was such an active, and beloved member of the community, the city hall presented him with a certificate of honorary citizenship. Cliff lived life to the fullest through enjoying his family, his friends, good food and good wine. He was well known for his sense of humor and love of all things Italian, especially his wife. Both while living in Florida and Italy, Cliff was always ready to help others, including many years driving and delivering for Meals on Wheels, in the US, and being Mossano's first Santa Clause in Italy. Cliff never made a stranger and found joy in making new friends.
Cliff is survived his wife, Carola, daughters, Paula LeGrand, Madaline Lazorchak, and Kathy Boyte (John McCoy), and his grandchildren, Jason, Juliet, Charlie, Aaron, Quentin, Brooke and Haley, many great grandchildren, and a large extended family.
A memorial for Cliff was held on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Lewis' Funeral Home in Navarre, Florida. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make donations in his honor to .
