Mildred "Nan" Melton 96, of Bradenton Fl. left our world peacefully to be with the Lord, her son and daughter in-law at her side Sunday January 27th 2019.
Born in Baker Fl. Oct. 1922 to Leon and Maud Melton, on the Melton farm. She was a graduate of Baker High School class of 1940. After graduating Highschool Nan made her way to Baltimore Md., then Wilmington De. where she was a homemaker, loving mother to daughter Diane Rogg and son Matthew Rogg and a Real Estate agent. In the late 1970's Nan had the opportunity to live in Hong Kong and traveled throughout Asia exstensively. Nan resettled to the Pensacola Fl. area and eventually moved to Bradenton Fl. It was here while pursuing her favorite hobby "golf" that she met the love of her life Ret. Air Force Colonel William "Bill" Decker . Both were avid golfers and enjoyed many happy hours pursuing their passion.
Nan is preceded in death by her parents, Bill Decker, brothers Maxwell "Mac" Melton, and Brad Melton. She is survived by daughter Diane Rogg, son Matthew Rogg (Ami ), brothers Fred, Dwight, Jim and John Melton (Barbara), sister Onyx Youngblood and many neices and nephews. Nan was considered a dear friend by many, her generous heart and warm laughter will be missed. Love you mom!
Nan requested a celebration of life "memorial service" time and place to be announced.
