Wayne Murry Lundy, age 63, left this life June 4th, 2018. He was born in Florala Ala. and moved to Tallahassee as a child. After graduating from Leon High School in 1973 he served in the Army for four years. He married his first wife Debbie (now deceased) in Oklahoma and even lived a while in Wyoming before returning to Crestview where he worked for a while at L3. He worked at Casey Electric for ten years where he certified as an electrician, and was currently working for Lambert Electric. All who knew and worked with him will miss him. He was well-liked by everyone who met him, and always ready to help out with his time and talents. He was preceded in death by his father Winston Lundy, and survived by:his wife of 28 years Wanda, his mother, Margie Lundy, sister Betty and brother Bill. He had 5 children: Tina, Bobby, Krystal, April, and Amy. He was a loving grandfather to 18 grandchildren and counting. His favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren flying kites, fishing, swimming, reading to them and playing with all manner of 'Wayne inventions'. He loved old Volkswagons and the Beatles. He never met a stranger, and was a friend to all who knew him. On June 9th his family and friends held a Celebration of his life at the family farm he loved so much, with potluck followed by a sharing of 'Wayne stories', culminating with the launch of 2 paper hot air balloons with messages of love. Sunday June 10th a traditional service was held at Brackney Funeral home.
